Cessnock Goannas

Cessnock Goannas are the current Newcastle Rugby League Premiers after defeating South Newcastle 20 to 6 in the 2020 Grand Final.

The Goannas are one the most recognisable clubs in Country Rugby League with its history spanning more than 100 years. The club has produced many state and national representatives and continues to be a strong junior nursery with many players from their current squad coming through the junior ranks.

Premiership winning coach Todd Edwards will once again take the reigns of the Goannas in a bid for back to back titles. Cessnock last went back to back in 1954-55.
