The North Sydney Bears are a historic Rugby League club based in North Sydney, New South Wales. Established in 1908 as one of the founding members of the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL), the Bears boast a rich legacy in Australian rugby league. Known for their iconic red and black colours. Their home ground, North Sydney Oval, remains a cherished venue with its nostalgic charm and passionate fanbase.

The club's first-grade stint came to an end in 1999 after financial struggles and a failed merger with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, forming the ill-fated Northern Eagles. However, the Bears have maintained a strong presence in Rugby League, competing in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup, SG Ball, Harold Matthews Cup, Tarsha Gale Cup and Lisa Fiaola Cup.

Beyond the field, the Bears are renowned for their community involvement and enduring fan loyalty. Their ongoing bid for re-entry into the NRL reflects their ambition to revive their proud history at the elite level. With a heritage steeped in tradition and a vision for the future, the North Sydney Bears remain a beloved symbol of Rugby League in Australia.
