Kurri Kurri Bulldogs

One of the most famous clubs in Country Rugby League, Kurri Kurri has built a reputation as one of the toughest teams to play away from home.

Kurri Kurri people would much rather spend a day at the local footy than watch NRL. The match of choice would have to be the Coalfields derby against old foes Cessnock.

The Bulldogs have won the Newcastle competition six times. They came close in 2013 but went down to Western Suburbs 21-8.

The Bulldogs greatest period was in the mid 90’s when they won a hat trick of titles under the coaching of Steve Linnane.
